My Approach
My work is client-centred. This means our sessions are tailored around your specific needs on that given day as I draw from the theoretical tools I have learned. I also believe it is important to understand our experiences holistically and not just from the mind and this will be reflected in our sessions. I may invite you to be mindful of the sensations in your body or invite breath work into our sessions.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Do you ever feel like you're having a conversation with parts of yourself that can't seem to agree? I am Level 1 trained in IFS therapy and it contributes greatly to the approach I take with my clients. IFS is a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing and holistic approach that allows me to meet any issue you may be experiencing with openness. IFS invites you to develop more understanding and compassion to your internal world. It understands multiplicity of the mind – meaning, we are not just “one” person who thinks and feels the same way all of the time. Through this approach I can help you enhance your relationship with yourself, as well as your friends, family and the community that surrounds you. Please don’t hesitate to ask me more.
